A training wage of $4.25 per hour applies to newly hired employees under age 20 for their first 90 calendar days. 

 

Tipped employees must receive at least $5.49 per hour (40% of minimum wage), provided tips bring their total to $13.73/hour; otherwise, the employer must cover the difference. Employees exempt from overtime include those earning more than $684 per week and those working in a certified profession, such as engineering.
